THE ULTIMATE
Here in the south, our summer clothing choices usually revolve around jean shorts and bikini tops. I personally love a cute graphic tee and some shorts! I'm going to outline some of my favorite outfit ideas and some of my favorite brands. This is a classic down in the south. This is a look you could find in the grocery store or on the beach. As bodysuits become more popular, paperboy shorts are starting to gain their reputation back. These shorts would look super cute over a bikini! You could throw these on if you were going to go eat or shop on Tybee after swimming. This super cute bathing suit is from aerie! Aerie is one of my favorite brands because the are so body positive and they don't photoshop any of their models. Another one of my favorite places to shop is boldsoul boutique. They have a great mission and always have cute clothes!! They have a location on Wilmington island and one in the Tanger Outlets. If you ever have any questions about what fashion is in, just check out pinterest. They will always have something that you will like. Most of these photos are actually from pinterest.

After a ton of researching I have found some of the best places to stay on Tybee Island and I know you will love them too! Endless Summer offers guests a unique waterfront vacation experience in a gated community most locals don't even realize exists. The home is shaded with oak trees and has direct water frontage on Tybee's Back River, for amazing views of the river and of Little Tybee Island. The cottage has many unique touches including slate floors, bamboo walls, and an decorative stone fireplace. The house is pet-friendly for one adult dog weighing less than 20lbs. Set in a mansion dating back to 1910, this B&B is a 3-minute walk from the Beach. There are 8 quaint rooms with antique furnishings that have en suite bathrooms, flat-screen TVs and coffeemakers. Some rooms have a suit or offer ocean views or private porches. Breakfast is served in a wood-paneled dining room, which also offers drinks and snacks. There is also a lounge with a fireplace, as well as a veranda, and event facilities. Hotel TybeeOverlooking Tybee beach and the Atlantic Ocean, this hotel is steps away from the beach and is a 3-minute walk to the Tybee Island Marine Science Center and the pier. I am here to introduce a new routine part of my blog; dog guides!! Every month I will put out a new Savannah dog guide specific to the season and month. These guides will test products and will also display different restaurants and activities you can do with your dog in Savannah. This month is really hot in Savannah so I found some things to keep your dog happy and safe from the heat. North pier trailThis activity is located inside of Fort Pulaski national monument off of U.S. 80. This trail will led you out towards the north channel of the Savannah river where there is a small beach for your dogs to play on. To download the map click right below. Also make sure to bring some of the dog friendly sunscreen and bug repellent (listed below) on you walk as it gets really hot in Savannah and the bug are always bad. This is part of a National Monument so there is a fee to get inside. Leapold's Ice CreamNo trip to Savannah is in complete without a trip to Leopold's Ice Cream on Broughton street. They are world famous for their ice cream. But one thing that is not talked about is their pup sundae- vanilla ice cream topped with a dog biscuit. Warren London Dog Sunscreen SprayThis sunscreen is great!! It is all natural with Aloe Vera and grapefruit peel oil. It is a necessary in a place where the UV rating is off the chart! Cedarcide Original Biting Insect Dog & Cat SprayIn Savannah you need to protect your furry pal(s) from pests that can spread disease. This chemical-free bug spray uses uses natural cedar wood oil to kill and repel fleas, ticks, mosquitoes, bed bugs, mites, and chiggers, with no toxins. Hello and welcome back to my blog! This week I am going deep down into Savannah history with some of Savannah's many haunted hotels that are favorites among tourists. It is tourist season in Savannah and this blog is one of my four part "tourist guide" series. I am going to talk about my favorite hotels, shopping, experiences, and restaurants in the next few weeks. So stay posted! The Marshall HouseThe Marshall house was built in 1851. The Marshall house was used as a civil war hospital, where it is said that soldiers would have damaged limbs amputated and is said to be the oldest hotel in Savannah. . It was also used as a hospital when the yellow fever took the lives of many. The Marshall house is not as peaceful as some guests would wish. It is said that voices and screams can still be heard throughout the hotel and the lights will flicker and the faucets turn themselves on and off randomly. 17 Hundred 90 InnThe 17 Hundred 90 Inn has been said to be one of the most haunted hotels in America. A young woman named Anna committed suicide by jumping from a window in room 204. The Inn is said to be haunted by the ghost of Anna. Guests in room 204 have reported being woken suddenly by the sound of smashing glass and seeing a shadowy figure near the foot of the bed Employees have also reported hearing pots and pans rattling in an empty kitchen and hearing mysterious crashing noises in empty guest suites. Foley House Inn The Foley House Inn was built in 1896 by Honoria Foley. The Foley House Inn was undergoing renovations in 1987 when the owners found a human skeleton behind a wall they had just knocked down. The Skeleton was thought to be that of a rich lodger that was murdered for his money. A ghost of a man in top hat has been seen walking in the gardens at night. The ghost has been nicknamed Wally by staff at the hotel. The staff and guest have also reported of strange noises and rushes of air at the hotel at night.
Playgrounds on Wilmington IslandIf your a mom, dad, grandparent, babysitter, etc. you are always looking for something to do with your kids so you can get a little free time. There a three "public" playgrounds on Wilmington Island (many more private ones behind churches, schools, etc.). The first one is maintained by Chatham county and is at the far end of the island. The other two playgrounds are in HOAs and it is best if your there as a guest to a homeowner in that neighborhood. This park is owned by the county and anyone can use it. It is great for a party and has a section for older kids and a section for younger kids. This playground is great for kids of all ages! There are monkey bars, slides, balance beams, and a car for your kids to play in. There is even a tire swing and merry go round! This playground is great!! It has a ton of climbing space and will keep your kid entertained. Like I said before, there are many more playgrounds on Wilmington Island but they are owned by schools and churches. The owners might not want you to use their playground.
Circle of trees geocacheA huge favorite past time of locals around here is geocaching. The first geocache I ever found was in the heart of Wilmington park covered in dirt and grime. It was a micro (geocaching term for super tiny) and required a lot of searching for. One of the few tips I can give you is to read the hit carefully and disregard everything else in the description except for the nano part. also make sure you look up the new international version of psalm 1:1 for it has the clearest definition. Above is a NANO a type of geocache. This is the type of micro you should look for. The map is not entirely correct, you should look for a roundabout when you get to the location
